Emil presents at Biology Research Day 2019

Emil Karpinski presented his work on American mastodon genetics at the Department of Biology's 6th Annual Graduate Research Day.

Emil's presentation, titled "The ebb and flow of the American mastodon across the North American Continent", showed a phylogeographic signature of past population movement in response to glacial/interglacial cycles in the terminal Pleistocene. His presentation took home the Honourable Mention in the Ecology and Evolution Session. Emil was also awarded a Best TA award for this year.
